Businesses have taken advantage of incentives such as:
- Value-Added Tax Abatement,
- Freeport Tax Exemption,
- Tax Increment Financing,
- Industrial Revenue Bonds.
In efforts to encourage economic growth, the municipalities and county government have offered these incentives, lowered property tax rates, and adopted the half-cent sales tax for economic development.
